The rice market is treading water until the acreage becomes more clear. There are doubters out there on the scale of the decline, but i assure you it is quite large. Long grain will decline by more than a million acres. Long grain acres will be no more than 1.7 million acres. stocks will drop into the 10 to 15 million cwt range. The insurance program will aid in planting coming to an end.
